You, faithful follower, are embarking on a journey that will forever be known as "The Veggie Chronicles." Here, you will find tid-bits of information, tips and tricks, funny stories, and my famous rants. Don't worry, you'll never be bored (well, I suppose that's something you have to determine on your own).
I used to have an old blog, but I like this one better. My old one was so serious -- it got depressing after a while. This blog is dedicated to the lighthearted and not-so-serious-at-all issue known as Vegetarianism! Yay veggies!
Also, if you have not yet joined the numerous ranks of the Veggies, I want you to know that you are going to hell for the cruelty you have bestowed upon poor, helpless animals. No, I'm kidding. I don't judge. I made a personal decision, and so have you. Respect: that's what it's all about, baby.
Here's what made me decide to become a Vegetarian:
- I wanted to "Meet my Meat" (be careful what you click on!)
- I watched the video "If Slaughterhouses had Glass Walls". I cried.
- I decided from that point forward I would quit meat cold turkey. (Pun fully intended)
I had been thinking about the prospects of becoming Vegetarian before watching that movie (for health benefits and such), but never had the full motivation to be veg. After watching that movie, my whole life was altered and my point of view was changed. Proudly I stand and say: "I am a Veg! I lean toward the light!"
To be honest, I've only been a veg for 3 months, but it's longer than I've ever gone before. I had tried several times before, but never succeeded because I didn't have the proper motivation. Now that I am Veg for more than health reasons, it's so easy. Seriously! I haven't craved meat once. It's a lot easier to do something you ethically support.
Now for some pictures of baby animals!!
This is Megan's and my pet duck, Duck.
She waddles and her feet are too big for her body. She falls over very easily and sometimes gets confused as to who her owners are. She screams when we're not around. She's currently going through puberty and has a bad attitude. And she's learning how to swim. Our baby's growin' up.
